I’d like a book that pieces together mainstream and widely known history with story and illuminates subjects people might “already know” (for the most part)
Preferably something that hits a wide array of subjects for example how and why the holy Roman empire started, or why the french invade Brittain etc… I’m not closed to a single subject in one book tho (if it’s high quality).
