I’ll be done with finals in a few days, and I’m super excited to start reading stuff that isn’t required for a class. I love thrillers, but I find them disappointing fairly often. I want to find some good ones this summer—can y’all give me some of your best recs? Here are some things I like/dislike to help! also, I have already read No Exit, most Ruth Ware & Riley Sager books, and The Overnight Guest (just to name a few popular ones)
I like:
– Isolated setting/locked room mystery
– wilderness survival, especially snowy settings
– one by one scenario
– female narrator (who isn’t oblivious)
– prefer adult narrators to YA
I don’t like:
– “it was the narrator all along” trope, and unreliable narrators in general
– domestic thrillers (especially focusing on a marital relationship)
– books about toxic friendships
Thanks!
