I’m a 31yo male USA. I tend to like apocalyptic type stories to see how people behave in these situations especially if they are smart about it. But I’m willing to branch out…
Other books I have enjoyed in the past:
The girl with a dragon tattoo series
The perks of being a wall flower
Basketball junkie
No reservations.
Usually I read really popular books or ones that have become movies or will be because I fear investing time in something I’m not gonna like lol.
I suppose I’m just looking for a good and easy ready. The road was really easy to read because of how it was broken up into short pages and no chapters.
One thing I didn’t like about the road and Project HM was the lack of conversation between characters. I also prefer modern literature that I can relate to the way people talk or think. I don’t like reading stuff like the great Gatsby because it’s not how I use language and I can’t relate to it.
Just looking for recommendations on a must read.

Anything by Blake Crouch. He’s definitely got his own style. I’ve read Recursion and Dark Matter. Lots of mind-bending reality shifts. I think my favorite was Recursion.
I also enjoyed Replay by Ken Grimwood, and 9.22.63 by Stephen King. They are both very good. Both of these have to do with time travel.
Edit: forgot a word.
