I like both fiction and non-fiction and they don’t have to be specifically about mental health, maybe just with relatable characters??
I’ve been deeply struggling with my mental health for several years but after losing my dad in 2022 and then my family falling apart afterwards I just haven’t been the same. I really connect with characters from chaotic families, those that struggle with depression, anxiety, cptsd, or with feelings of loneliness, worthlessness, or like they’re failing at life/ stories of life completely falling apart and looking nothing like you expected it to.
Some books I’ve really enjoyed that I’d love to find similar vibes to include:
-The Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls
-Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens
-What my Bones Know by Stephanie Foo
-Your Voice in My Head by Emma Forrest
But really anything with relatable characters would be great too. I love fantasy, mystery, murder mystery, memoirs, can be convinced to read romance etc!
