Current read is A Botanical Daughter by Noah Medlock — I’m half way through & haven’t touched it for days; can’t decide if it’s just because I don’t want it to end or if I’m worried the second half won’t be as good as the first 😂
Is anyone else experiencing this same predicament at the moment?
Edit: Added details to appease the bots — the book is a historical fantasy, I suppose, but with strong scientific vibes too? It’s about plants & two quirky (& queer) gentleman & a strong headed young woman who works for them. I won’t say much more because ✨spoilers✨ but it just has so many things that I love in a story & whenever I read it, I have such a huge smile on my face. However I’ve not touched it in a week because I’m scared to continue 😂 The plot is approaching a point where it’s evolving into something more & I can’t help but worry I won’t enjoy the second half as much! And if I do enjoy it, I’ll be really sad when it’s over ☹️ It’s been ages since this has happened & I’m currently in hospital NOT reading because of this inner-conflict 😂
So again, I ask, is anyone else experiencing this same predicament at the moment?
