Suggest me a book that takes place in the future where AI has developed far beyond what its capable of now, that shows what the future can really look like
I’m listening to ‘All systems red” currently – I feel like that’s an AI future that would be possible ☺️ audio book is 3-4 hours so very easily digested! And got its fun moments 🙂

Max Tegmark’s **Life 3.0** is not a novel, it’s speculative non-fiction. It describes the spectrum of futures mankind is facing due to the ascent of artificial intelligence. Being a physics professor, he puts a lot of words into the ‘how’ it could happen.

Here are some:
* Accelerando by Charles Stross
* The Imperial Radch series by Ann Leckie
* The Culture series by Iain M. Banks. I recommend starting with The Player of Games (my favourite) or Excession (goes into more detail about the AIs, but I have heard it’s confusing to start with). This is the sort of series you can read in any order if you wish, but the first book Consider Phlebas, doesn’t show the AIs very much.
* Lady of Mazes by Karl Schroeder

Following, and I’d really be interested to know any titles that are not actually a dystopian take.
