Hello fellow bookworms! I’m desperately looking for fantasy books that don’t feel like they’re about teenage drama.
I want to think ‘Wow, what a beautiful mind the author has’ and feel like I’m exploring whole new worlds/perspectives through a well written story and believable characters.
Some of my favorite books are ‘Strange the Dreamer’ by Laini Taylor, ‘The invisible Library’ series by Genevieve Cogman and ‘The City of Dreaming Books’ by Walter Moers.
I also enjoyed the feel of The Secret Garden and Bambi: A Life in the Woods a lot.
Books I’ve read recently and didn’t really like are ‘The Cruel Prince’ by Holly Black, ‘The Serpent and the Wings of Night’ by Carissa Broadbent, ‘Shadow and Bone’ by Leigh Bardugo to name a few.
Any recommendations are greatly appreciated!
