Frankenstein is a yes. Mary Shelley was only 18 when she wrote it. Its not the Boris Karloff version.

      I have never read Cleopatra.

It has very mixed and negative reviews on goodreads. It might be a candidate for the library if that is a viable option for you. I haven’t read it yet because the reviews don’t seem great, and some of my book club friends did not enjoy it. I will probably give it a try eventually, though, lol.

If you’re looking for more literary fiction recommendations, I recently read and loved Perfume and Pain by Anna Dorn, Piglet by Lottie Hazell, and Interesting Facts about Space by Emily R. Austin. Family Meal by Bryan Washington was also pretty good and may cover some similar topics found in Cleopatra and Frankenstein. Dances by Nicole Cuffy was also good, very focused on ballet, though. Luster by Raven Leilani and Queenie by Candice Carty-Willams were also great. There are a bunch of different vibes with all of them, so it could be worth seeing if any sound good to you!
