I’m not exactly sure how to phrase this, but I’m looking for a book that captures the intrigue caused by the characters in the Dark Souls trilogy. What I mean by this is that, while playing the games, you meet various strangers throughout your journey, and they have really interesting dialogue that makes you wonder what their story is. And then throughout the game, you find bits of lore that expands on those characters’ stories. It’s your job to piece together the story. I’m looking for that kind of intrigue in a book.
