hello again! something i love to indulge in is books where the characters’ social consequences or dramas give you severe second hand yikes. or when the facades and social environment just totally falls apart. backstabbing, social media lies, or something like that. but i also need the stakes to be high and for it to be tense, maybe a plot twist or two… some of the best examples of this i think are:
“idol” by louise o’neill,
“people like her” by ellery lloyd,
“those people next door” by kia abdullah
