Hello fellow bookies,
I have been reading everything from fiction, fantasy, history, Sci Fi, and most other genres. But I haven’t read any good mystery book with the Westing Game being the only one this decade (didn’t care for it.. lol)
I want to know your favorite Mystery genre books! I tend to enjoy more modern books, but classics will be accepted.

My fav standalone mystery is from the 1970s, but reads as modern as ever. It’s called _If You Can’t Be Good_ by Ross Thomas. Set in DC so has plenty insider politics stuff but also works as a straight mystery.
Have you tried the Magpie Murders series by Anthony Horowitz? I thought they were pretty well done.
