Books about addiction, preferably somewhat modern and not YA

Hey I’m looking for a book where the main character struggles with addiction.

I’ve read other books with this type of thing, but many of them either it’s not the main character dealing with it, it’s not realistic, it’s geared towards teens, or it’s not very recently written(like pre 1990s), which is fine of course, just not what I’m looking for at the moment.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
