I keep meaning to read more books from the last 30 years, but I keep only vibing with horror and fantasy novels. I am trying to get into adventure novels again, but the ones I read as a kid and loved were all much older. I loved Jack London books. I read Treasure Island and had a blast. I liked the Swiss Family Robinson. Does anyone have suggestions of modern books like that?

Killers of a Certain age was fun. Four older women on a retirement cruise from their career as assassins, and they find out they’ve been targeted by the agency as victims. They have to struggle their way out of it.
11/22/63-Stephen King
Captain Blood by Rafael Sabatini
The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas
The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas
Prince of Foxes by Samuel Shellabarger
What about The Wager by David Grann? A recent read I really enjoyed.
The River by Peter Heller. Two college friends go off on a kayack or canoe adventure (I forget with) and face many perils. A real page turner.
Into Thin Air, by Jon Krakauer…the true account of an Everest expedition gone horribly wrong.
