Im going through vampire chronicles right now, and i really enjoyed the first 5 or 6 books where it was strictly about vampires and their nonsense. But latest three i read has been a lot more about mortals and its getting kinda repetitive and not for me, like :
-ofc every female character is a sexy redhead with f-you money
– ofc they’re traveled all over the world
-Ofc they’re spelcial even among the special
-ofc they’re in a love affair with someone way older where he is 50 and she’s 15
– ofc astrology is real
– ofc everyone from the 90s talk as if theyre 17th century nobility
Etc.
I understand how that would be appealing to the female audience, but its just not for me.
Currently im white knuckling through the blackwood manor book and there’s been a lot if that. However i am stil very much interested in the vampire bits and the Lestat and Pals overarching plot that only happens in the very beginning and the end of the books.
My question is, is it worth going through the rest of the vampire chronicles or is it more of what i described above? Maybe i should just get the spoilers of what happens to lestat and be done with it?

You made it further than me. I got halfway through the first paragraph of The Vampire Lestat and it was a hard nope.
I quit on The Vampire Armand. It treated child molestation way too lightly.
Oh sweetie honey darling (this is not sarcastic or belittling, I’m playing at fainting dramatically). Plow through it and you’ll get to…
Spoiler for the (counts) 12th book. >!ALIENS!< I think, anyway. Haven’t read it.
