I like to say you’re never lonely so long as youve got a book in your bag.
Lately I’m looking for something specific to this absence of social connection in my life.
Far from home, culturally estranged, feeling stuck, lost, confused, overwhelmed, etc
Suggest me a book that brought out your courage

Maybe The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman. It’s sort of a coming-of-age novel for adults. It’s a pretty short read, and it’s one of my absolute favorite books
Would a book that takes place in/near your home help? If so, what setting?
The Miss Fortune series by Jana Deleon. It’s funny (and fictional) but also about a CIA agent that has to lie low in a quirky Luisiana bayou town where no one knows her.
When I’m lonely I tend to want to read happy books with a large cast of characters. Diana Wynne Jones’s *Howl’s Moving Castle* is my perfect remedy.
