I haven’t really been reading much the past few years and would really love to find a good book to read.
Does anyone have any recommendations for romance novels that make you feel giddy, swoon, are dramatic but are well written? I’m looking for likeable (even if it’s not at first) and interesting characters.
I really want to be sucked into a novel, unable to put it down.

If you’re looking for Rom Com vibes, then I’d really recommend anything by Olivia Dade or Lily Chu.
If you’re hoping for something a little more heart wrenching, Before We Were Strangers by Renee Carlino.
Something a little more “swoon” worthy, the Bridgerton books are actually amazing.
I’m currently reading What the Wind Knows by Amy Harmon and ohhh, my heart. It’s a time slip/historical romance but it reads like a movie and I’m in love with the love story (on multiple fronts) 🥹.
Historical romance rec would be {Romancing The Duke by Tessa Dare} — I was literally half crying, half fist pumping at the end. I still get a bit deliriously giddy when I think back on it. Also — come on over to r/romancebooks where you’ll find WAY more specific recommendations based off of what you’re actually looking for!
If you’re willing to give webnovels a go, I’d recommend this one called <No Moral> by Tehanu. Unfortunately, it’s only available via an app called Tappytoon.
That being said, it’s a story that rekindled my interest in the romance genre. It’s translated from Korean to English, and it’s essentially an mlm romance in a contemporary setting, but no amount of praise would do justice to the characterization.
I found the MC extremely likeable from the get-go, and although the LI comes across as a jerk at first, his character development is wonderful 🥹
