So I’ve gotten back into reading and I’ve reached the point where I feel like I’m running out of books I feel I’ll like. I want to learn of more novels so I don’t start struggling to find something to read.
I like heady, philosophical novels. Fantasies or realistic fictions don’t matter to me. I lean towards older Japanese novels. I also wouldn’t mind something involving gay men.
A list of my favorite novels:
– The Elegance of the Hedgehog
– Confessions of a Mask
– A Personal Matter
– How Do You Live?
– The Color Purple
On my list are “Forbidden Colors”, “Paprika”, “Teach Us to Outgrow Our Madness”, and “Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead”.
I want to avoid BookTok stuff as much as possible. I find a lot of what they suggest tends to be trite. Any suggestions?
