I’m looking for detailed books about people’s experience with sensitive topics such as sexual assault, suicidal ideation, etc. For example, Prayers For Bobby which is a book about a mother whose son commits suicide because of her intolerance towards his homosexuality. It incorporates excerpts from Bobby’s diary into the book to give you an idea of what he was feeling. I’m Glad My Mom Died which is a book about Jennette McCurdy’s experience growing up as a child actor with a very abusive mom.
Can any of you recommend any books like this?
