    I recently watched the film “Perfect Days” by Wim Wenders, and I found myself in a glow for days afterwards. I noticed things around my apartment I’d never noticed before. I found myself smiling for no reason in particular. I had this unbelievable lightness and presence of mind that I’d never experienced as intensely before. I found the film to be very life-affirming, almost a guided meditation in film, and I was very taken by its depiction of mindfulness in a contemporary context.

    What are some books that you would pair with “Perfect Days”? Maybe it’s a book that explores mindfulness in the present day, a book that feels intensely meditative, or maybe a non-fiction book that analyzes similar topics. Maybe it’s a book that inspired that present, peaceful state of mind I’ve described. Open to anything!

    Note: I have read **Siddhartha**, which is the first book that comes to mind for me (and I do love that novel).
