I think the answer is probably to pick books I’ve already read and enjoyed or pick up something from the popcorn books thread that was posted recently, but I think it’s still a fun question. What is a good audiobook to listen to that I will still enjoy even if I miss little bits? I’ve got 500 envelopes to address and I can mostly do it without conscious thought but it does take some attention away from the book. I’m currently listening to The Echo of Old Books and it occurred to me that it’s really good for this task: it’s a solid 3.8/5 for me but not so good that I’ll regret multitasking through my new favorite book. It has a little bit of intrigue but not so much that I’m losing the plot if I miss a bit.
