This is my thought on a book called Hidden Potential: The Science of Achieving Greater Things by Adam Grant.

In High School, my scores on the tests were often below average.

However, my classmates usually said I was smart.

I always wondered why they were saying this.

Adam Grant, the author of Hidden Potential stated that

“It turns out that when people assess your skills, they put more weight on your peaks than on your troughs”

(this statement is based on research papers)

    This does make sense.

I sometimes got very high scores on the tests. They judged my abilities by my good scores.

People are not judgmental in a bad way as we assume.

Please don’t be so anxious about judgment about yourself.
