Traveling to Bordeaux and Dordogne and I’m looking for a book to get hyped! For reference, I just read Paris To The Moon by Adam Gopnik and LOVED it. Would love something with a similar vibe, although I can’t imagine there’s a whole compilation of New Yorker articles about Bordeaux and Dordogne specifically. Fiction and nonfiction are both fair game as long as you really get a sense of the setting. I’m reading Deadly Slipper now and I’m not crazy about it, so I’m hopeful someone here has a better option.
Guidelines:
* 20th or 21st Century
* Not heavy genre
* Somewhat lighthearted
I’m flexible on any of those for the perfect book, but it’s gotta be REALLY good.
Thanks in advance!
