It’s been about a week and a half now since I finished it, but **IT** by Stephen King hit me in a way I never expected it to, especially since I was such a big fan of all the respective adaptations; but the ending made me weep. It had me in tears for maybe five minutes after I finished it, which was shocking, because fiction often doesn’t affect me as much as nonfiction.
And while I understand this novel to be divisive in this community, it doesn’t change how it made me feel. I became so attached to Derry’s history, and the Losers, that it felt like I was saying goodbye to my friends (moreso the *actual* friends of my own childhood that I’ve lost connection with over the decades).
So, that leads me to ask all of you, what novels made you cry hysterically, and why?
