My almost 8yo loves reading. He reads all kinds of books and I’d like to encourage reading “better” books.
Favorite books:
* Mr. Lemoncello series
* Hobbit
* Non fictions around electricity, power, nature, with pictures.
Books he liked a couple years ago but doesn’t read much anymore
* A-Z series
* Box car children
* Nate the great series
* Cam Jensen series
* Project Droid series
* Math/Science inspector
What he loves but I really don’t like:
* Story treehouse
* Captain underpants
* Cat kid
He was fine with Harry Potter (the first book) but he prefers Hobbit. He is reading the Lord of the rings but not particularly interested in reading the other Harry Potter books.
I’d appreciate advice on more character growing books. I don’t forbid books books like captain underpants but would like to challenge him and also encourage better books.
