Building my baby’s library and one of my favorite books growing up was Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. The pictures always made me so hungry! I also loved Too Many Tamales, Strega Nona, and Stone Soup. Any other books that have food as a central theme?

Fry Bread: A Native American Family Story by Kevin Noble Maillard
My toddler loves this book and it has more information on Native American culture in the back that you can add in as you read the book with your kiddo.
No More Beige Food encourages trying new foods and meeting people in your community, plus it rhymes!
*Nothing but Soup* by Katy Hall
It’s a great read aloud.
