Hello all!
I volunteer at a women’s shelter for victims of trafficking and forced drug abuse. I help teach literature classes where we read books together and have discussions on how it relates to their trauma and healing process.
The shelter has only ever done non-fiction books like “The Body Keeps the Score” and “Waking the Tiger”. But I’d like to introduce the ladies to some more interesting literature that they can get excited about.
Can you suggest some books that might fit the bill?
Here are ones I’ve thought of:
-Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine
-Body of Stars
-Speak
I appreciate any and all suggestions, thank you!
