I’m running out of books to read so I need some good recommendations.
I love reading about people who tended toward extreme ends in any way or were generally very ‘out there’ to the average person and seeing their viewpoints. Malcolm X’s autobiography, Krakauer’s Into the Wild, Tom O’Neil’s Chaos, for example.
On top of that, I love books about the outdoors and simple living like Into the Wild, Cheryl Strayed’s Wild, or Bill Bryson’s A Walk in the Woods.
I’m open to anything (Foucault’s Pendulum was crazy) besides most genre fiction like sci fi or fantasy. Philosophy isn’t my thing either. I guess I’m looking for books to expose myself to a lot of new ideas as well as finding practical application to those ideas, if that makes sense. Quenching a wanderlust felt at this stage in my life that I think most 20 somethings feel.
