I’m a huge fan of Pirates of the Caribbean, as well as Indiana Jones.
But I also love the “modernness” of Sahara (wonderful movie if you haven’t seen it) and National Treasure.
I want something in a novel that sparks that same modern swashbuckling adventure of globe trotting, treasure seeking, fortune or glory kind of vibe.
Right now I’m stuck between Sci-if (just finished up the first Red Rising trilogy) and non-fiction historical books.
Bonus points if they’ve got the writing style of Pierce Brown (Red Rising Saga), Andy Weir (The Martian/Project Hail Mary) or Edward Ashton (Mickey7/Anti-Matter Blues)
Thank y’all 🤝🏽

There’s dozens of Clive Cussler adventure books available, written between the 1970s and this year. There might be more than one film named Sahara, but one of them was loosely based on a Cussler book of the same name. 🙂
