Books about societal collapse and rebuilding

I’m really interested in non-fiction, fiction, and historical accounts of what would happen in a societal collapse. I’m mostly interested in historical or educational approaches, but fiction is okay too, provided it’s more based on realism or realistic scenarios (stories like the hunger games seem less likely to happen than say a fictional book in ecological collapse).
