So I have to buy books online because i read in English but live in a non-English speaking area and I’m finding the quality of paperbacks is terrible (ultra thin pages, poorly cut – Amazon is the worst) and hardbacks are now insanely expensive unless it’s a popular book.
I read some on Kindle, but some I prefer a physical copy.
Does anyone have a particular place they like to buy online?

What books are you buying where you’re getting ultra thin pages?
Even the cheap Penguin classics don’t have thin pages.
The only thin pages I know are those from bibles and Library of America books. But those LoA pages are still durable, they’re not similar to bible pages.
I live in Poland, our English books are UK editions. I could search for the ISBN on Amazon and sometimes they offer US editions, which are more expensive, but I prefer US editions of hardcovers, they’re made better.
You could try Blackwell’s, they’re a UK company and shipping is part of the price of the book.
Still, I’m really curious of the books that you’re buying. I don’t know if your country has a different publisher for English books or you’re just ultra picky.
