Hi there. I recently fell in love with a man after 8 years of a neglectful relationship.

The man I fell in love with seems to be pulling away now, and it hurts. But instead of hurting, I want to grow to love myself and depend on myself more.

I have had codependent tendencies, as my mom is a codependent. But it is time to leave those behind.

I’m looking for books about strong, independent, self-actualized women and their adventures and fulfillment. A strong cast of friends is a bonus, as it is in my own life.

I’d like to stay clear of romantic love.

Suggestions? I appreciate your help. ❤️‍🩹

Hugs! I recommend *Bellwether* by Connie Willis. I apologize because there *is* a minor romance arc, but the book is mostly about a woman solving an intellectual puzzle, and she is mentally strong, smart, and independent.
