I love the hunger games, I read ACOTAR (can't give it raving reviews though), I'm starting the poppy war, I've read Harry Potter and I've noticed these all have the theme of a poor/under privileged/had to struggle main character gets thrown into a situation that's bigger than them and they have to grow as a person to triumph at the end.

Are there any books where someone from a wealthy/privileged family finds out they have a power or talent that they should use for the betterment of society? Maybe they don't care about using this talent/power because it doesn't directly effect them, something happens either directly to them or maybe they're out of their castle or home for a night and see some BS and then come to terms with being someone who can help the less fortunate? Basically something that brings them down to reality and off of their high horse (so to speak)?

I don't even know if what I've explained that well. I'm not even looking for a princess/fairytale type of story. And I'm not wanting someone insufferable about hope and helping the poor. I want a character that has to take a few ego hits to become a better person.

Any ideas of what might fit that description?
