Like that title, I would like a book with the deepness of the linguistic science that was explored in the movie Arrival (2016), but with any real science subject: it could be physics, mathematics, or even linguistic again. But I would prefer for the discoveries from the science exploration to have a strong impact on the plot (just like the movie). So, basically I would like a hard science discovery to have other worldly impact to the plot.
