Something critically acclaimed that makes for some actual productive reading. Not sure if that’s the term I want, cause I don’t mean self help. I mean something that might critique or allegorically explore a theme that’s noticeable and enticing

Radium Girls. Non fiction and I finish in 2 days. Very compelling and maddening at the same time.
I recently read We Must Not Think of Ourselves and I really enjoyed it.
Warning, it’s based in a ghetto during WWII.
The Hot Zone. Nonfiction about ebola viruses. Reads like a Cronenberg movie set to paper.
