    [Backstory] (skip if you’d prefer):

I want to challenge myself to be reading through a book at any given time. It used to be so natural for me when I was in middle school and early highschool, but now in my first year of college my attention span is shot and i’m ready to reclaim my potential for learning. I’m composing a summer reading challenge of books to get through, but I need some recommendations.

    [Preferences]:

I need something with enough plot action going on that I don’t get bored to easily. “Page turner”

I used to read all the y/a popular series like Harry Potter, Michael Vey, Percy Jackson, etc. and I liked them then, but need more going on to keep me interested.

I’m open to classics and or older publications— just finished Metamorphosis by Kafka and previously enjoyed Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas; HOWEVER books like Crime and Punishment with overwhelmingly esoteric language (especially when also accompanied by a slow paced LENGTHY plots) are very hard for me to get through while I’m still out of practice

I’m open to nonfiction, especially if it is about presidents, history, etc

I’m also open to good fiction and or realistic fiction

Please only recommend things you have actually read fully through and can vouch for their worthiness
