So imagine my surprise getting halfway through David Copperfield and realizing it's not about David Copperfield. Or any magicians. I'm still enjoying the book(And Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver is on my reading list seeing as it's a modernized retelling of it) But now i'm really wanting to read about some stage magicians.
I don't want a fantasy book where magic is real and the magician is a wizard. I've got plenty of fantasy books already in my TBR, what i'm wanting is a fictionalized memoir of someone like Houdini(or other magicians in his time) or Penn and Teller, or …David Copperfield.I'm willing to settle for a biography or an autobiography if it's especially gripping.
Anyone have a suggestion?
