Last year I read The Old Woman with the Knife, which is a book about a single woman in her 60s at the tail end of her career as a hitwoman, and I really enjoyed it.
Today I finished a book that I found as a rec on Reddit, called First Lie Wins, which is about a woman who takes false identities as covers for a variety of jobs.
I've really enjoyed reading these stories with characters who are incognito and living a life that involves spying, sleuthing, and mind games. I would love to hear any recommendations you have on other books with characters like this!
