My son is nearly 22 and is in prison, I regulary send him books but they are a bit hit and miss as he can’t do any research to request specific books so will give me just a very vague idea. He’s not allowed used books and paperback are preferable. If anyone can suggest some he may like I’d be very grateful. The ones I’ve sent that have been a hit include The red book – Jung, several George Orwell books , A history of modern Britain – Andrew Marr, Tao Te Ching – Lao Tzu, The Gulag Archipelago – Solzhenitsyn, The body – Bill Bryson, The Tibetan book of the dead, Shackleton and Scott books and a self build manual. Self help type books and puzzle books aren’t popular. He’s keen to learn as much as he can about lots of things. There’s so many books to choose from so sometimes I get a bit overwhelmed especially as I’m on a tight budget and he also has a limit to how many books he can own. Thank you for reading this.
