We always have that – beginning, something happens, hero tries to solve it, they find the solution, they are defeated, they come back, final battle, they win, the end.
For example, I always wanted to try what it feels like if the story was just stale or very linear.
So for example, a family living on a farm, JUST LIVING. No drama, no deaths, no danger. They just chill, take care of their livestock, talking at the dinner, etc.
Or maybe some danger or drama is happening, but it is solved in an unusual way. For example: Father walks in and says "Your mom is sick." … Then the next chapter the doctor says "Oh, sorry I was wrong, she is actually fine."
I know this sounds silly, and I don't know how to explain it properly, I apologize. I just wonder if there are any books that are like that. That are really unpredictable or simply don't follow the "writing rules". Because it just feels like most books are rather predictable. Even plot twists are predictable nowadays.
