I've been looking for good sci-fi books that has time travel as the plot but I can't seem to find any so whatever good sci-fi book will do, and it would be better if it was a single book not a series my wallet can't handle that lol
Best time travel book ever is 11/22/63, if it needs to be sci if then I would suggest the forever war – time travel of a sort but more into the distant future than the past.

Check out Kindred – Octavia Butler. It fits your requirements, but not necessarily in the way you were intending. It’s one of my favorite books I’ve ever read!

As far as your wallet, check you local library, I bet they have some Sci-Fi books 🙂
