Do you know an example of how a character from the book differed from the film adaptation?

Have you watched any movie or series that is an adaptation, and there was a character who either didn't look very or very different from the book version? If so, write about it.

For example, I had it with Harry Potter. In the first book, he was quite sarcastic and more cocky, in the movies, he was just a good boy. Or Horrid Henry, who just liked to make jokes in the series when, as in the books, he began his stand-up with a joke about 11/9 or aristocrats.
