Book(s) like Sujata Massey’s Perveen Mistry Series

Hello,

I finished the (as of now,) final book in Sujata Massey’s Perveen Mistry series in January, and I’m craving more! I don’t know when the 5th book in the series will release, and I can’t wait without something to tide me over.

Specifically, I’m looking for a book with these characteristics:

1. Mystery novel
2. Set in India, with an Indian MC
3. Preferably historical fiction, but open to novels set in the current era
4. High quality prose
