Piranesi is probably one of my favorite books of all time and I haven't been able to find a book like that since. While I know that no other book is exactly like Piranesi.. I was wondering if there are books that can scratch that itch..something atmospheric, with great characters, superb and immersive writing, a unique premise, that will keep me hooked from the first page.

Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, by the same author, Susanna Clarke. It’s better than Piranesi, and also more than twice as long.
