I started a habit of turning my phone off and reading a short story before going to sleep each night, has been very nice so far. I am almost done with my current edgar allen poe collection (which is FANTASTIC btw, poe offered exactly what I wanted), and I am looking for a collection to read next!
What I'm in the mood for are stories that give you a strong sense of character, and that feel "character driven". For example, Poe's collection did that amazingly, each felt like a portrait of a guy as much as a depiction of events. I want a different author who gives me that same feeling.
Any suggestions? All genres can work!
