Hi, I’ve been struggling to finish books (especially fiction) recently. Currently reading Julia Armfield’s Our Wives Under the Sea, and I’m really liking the format. The POVs are divided between married couple Leah and Miri. Miri’s chapters tackle the present time, and Leah’s chapters are mostly flashbacks and tackle the mystery/horror aspect of the story.

I find that I really like this format as I can just read the contained chapters and wouldn’t easily forget the narrative if I suddenly have to stop reading. It also helps that Julia Armfield’s prose is really amazing!

Don’t have any specific genre. It also doesn’t have to be just two characters nor it be a present time – flashback setting.

    Thank you!
