Looking for recommendations for books with these:
– Male protagonist, who is mercenary/assassin/hitman, or military/ex-military, or ex-convict, can be morally grey/antihero or not, anything along those lines.
– Action (like scenes of unaliving, fighting, etc.). I prefer plots where there is MC vs organised crime, not detectives/police officers vs serial killer.
– Romantic subplot, where MCs meet in the first book and stay together/continue being romantically involved throughout the series (or in the end of the book, if it's a standalone).
