I work with kids that age as an elementary library aide would get her a gift card with a bookmark so she can go pick out something she loves. Maybe her favorite series has a new book out and she’s been wanting to get her hands on it. Because there are fantasy kids, contemporary kids, graphic novel kids, true story kids…etc
