I've read quite a few fantasy series and am about to finish Robin Hobb's "The Elderlings" series (I have 1 more book, I've adored "The Wheel of Time", but didn't quite like "The First Law" by Joe Abercrombie, and read many more I forget to mention here.

Have you read cradle? Progression fantasy.
First book starts a little slow but it picks up fast. I personally could not put it down.
