What book should I read next?

In the past I've really enjoyed Darcy Coates as an author but I want to branch out. I'm wondering if y'all know any authors similar to Darcy Coates? I like thrillers, creature encounters, and apocalyptic scenarios. I also really enjoyed Dont Look Back by Ben Cheetham although I wasn't a fan of some of his other books.
