My favorite aspect was the reflections on art and history. I really loved the mc's, Tom's, thoughts on the artwork he was uncovering but I also adored learning a little bit about the process of restoration. The slow steady work ethic was pleasing to read. And rarely have I seen medieval history spoken about so well. I've seen people ask for books similar to this one already but usually it focuses on the countryside aspect. If anyone has ideas thank you in advance!!
